Welcome to Day 2 of AnachroCon!
Let’s go full steam ahead with Carnival Epsilon, one of the last remaining traveling side shows in America.
The one amazing act that I didn’t get pictures of was the bed of screws because I volunteered to stand on Professor Epsilon’s chest when he lied down on a board with about a hundred screws sticking point side up. That’s right, my full weight and boots and all! But enjoy photos of the rest of Carnival Epsilon’s performance~

Ivy of Carnival Epsilon puts a fork and knife up her nose!

Professor Epsilon unscrews real working light bulb and bites into it

Professor Epsilon eats the light bulb! I’m sitting about ten feet away from him and the crunch is so loud, I know it can’t be rock candy

Ivy straps her husband into a straight jacket

Professor Epsilon begins struggling out of the straight jacket

POP! Professor Epsilon dislocates his shoulder to get his arms free!

Professor Epsilon begins pulling himself out of the straight jacket

Professor Epsilon slides free of the straight jacket!

Professor Epsilon calls for volunteers to staple money to his body!

I staple a dollar bill to Professor Epsilon’s stomach. There’s no trickery here — that’s a real staple gun loaded with real staples!

My dollar bill hangs on the soft flesh of Professor Epsilon’s belly

Matt Silva of Penny Dreadful Productions staples money to Professor Epsilon’s biceps

Professor Epsilon wraps up the show with money dangling from his chest, stomach, arms, and back

Steampunk Bobafett is awesome ;D
Yeah, his costume was badass. I got to steal his wind-up key for a little while!
WOAH. I’m sad I missed this day, because that bicycle man is AWESOME. :D
Hey, Sarah! I’m happy we at least got Sunday with you. I had a lot of fun!
Me too! :D It was a blast. I always have so much fun with you two!

Was the traveling show another example of steampunk? I’m not sure what the complete definition is so trying to connect the relevance. Awesome show nonetheless. I think the batman is pretty cool, especially the bat-blade thing, siiick. The dude with the huge tire bike is awesome, and does ti really have only two wheels?
Yep, the bike only had two wheels ;D
Traveling side shows were all over the place during the period in which steampunk derives from, so think late 1800s – early 1900s. Carnivals and circuses drew all sorts of people, and “doctors” would sell strange concoctions in medicine shows. Did you ever see Sweeney Todd? It’s kind of like Pirelli’s.
